In this exciting workshop, Dimitra will help you understand the deep meaning of symbolism and how to incorporate symbols in your own artwork. You’ll learn how to understand your dreams and use them as inspiration in your paintings for a richer, more personal message. This workshop includes inspiring lectures and discussions, combined with creating your very own painting using Dimitra’s mixed media techniques. Also teaching portions of the workshop, Elli Milan (Founder of Milan Art Institute), will provide one-on-one attention and instruction while you create your piece.

The city of Athens, GA is lively and full of creativity and is located close to our school (only 20 minutes away). It is the perfect option for the weekend. There are tons of live music events, coffee shops and parks. The night-life is fun, with lots opportunities to make friends during your stay.
Also, there are many other towns to stay at while you’re here for the workshop, feel free to search for the perfect fit for you. Room, board and transportation is not included in the price of the workshop.

All necessary materials for the workshop are included. However, you might want to bring your favorite brushes to supplement what you’ll be using in the workshop.
All supplies will be included and they will be shared by others in the class. We have an on-site art supply store where you can purchase anything extra you want.
Yes a canvas or sometimes another surface will be included.
Workshops will be held at Milan Art Institute close to Athens, GA.

Room, board, and transportation is not included, however we recommend to stay in the historic town of Athens, GA. Athens is a fun and lively town with lots to do at night after the workshops, plus it's only 20 minutes from the Institute. We will be providing lunch each day during the workshop, so you don’t have to worry about that.
Lunches will be included daily at the workshops. If you have any food allergies or diet restrictions it might be a good idea to pack your own lunch for the day. You can also email [email protected] and let them know about any specifics.
If, for any reason, you need to cancel your attendance to the workshop after you’ve registered, you can get a full refund within 24 hours of your purchase. After this time period is over, you can apply the workshop fee to any other workshop or product (including the Mastery Program) Milan Art Institute offers. However, you must inform us at least 72 hours before the workshop to be able to transfer the credit to another workshop or product.
