Build a powerful foundation in color through this immersive oil painting class focused on mastering the primary palette. In this class, students will create a tertiary monochromatic painting in oils, learning how to mix nuanced, harmonious color variations from a limited selection of primary hues.

Through guided exercises and hands-on application, you’ll explore two different types of primary color palettes and discover how each influences temperature, saturation, and mood within a painting. This deep dive into intentional color mixing will strengthen your understanding of value, chroma, and balance—giving you the tools to confidently create clean, vibrant mixtures without muddiness.
