About Milan Art Institute

Milan Art Institute (MAI) is a place where passionate hearts and creative minds come together to bring their visions to life.
The founders, John and Elli Milan, have been successful artists for over 25 years each. Throughout that time they made a living solely through the sales of their art. Their oldest daughter, Dimitra Milan, also became a professional artist, generating over a million dollars by selling her own artwork at the age of fifteen.
The Milans’ artwork has been featured in galleries worldwide. And now, they are sharing their insights about the art industry with everyone. They have rallied a dedicated and incredibly talented group of individuals to fulfill the dream of inspiring artists all over the world. The MAI team is fully committed to helping artists live out their true purpose.
As a result, thousands of students have turned their passion into a profession. Beginners and professionals alike have come to master their skills, learn new techniques, and join an ever-expanding inspiring community of artists.
Milan Art Institute exists to enlighten and educate a worldwide audience about the transformational power of the visual arts.

Milan Art Gallery — April 2022

The Milan Family stirs, provokes, and inspires artists to believe in and run after their dream. Hundreds of students committed to the Milan Art Institute classes and quickly improved their skills. With so many talented artists, it became obvious it was time to create an online gallery.

In March 2022, we started with 20 featured artists who’d all graduated from our Mastery Program. The purpose of our gallery is to create an online place that is focused on the artist while elevating the way that people create, buy, and sell their art. Our team at Milan knows firsthand the struggles of being a professional artist and how hard it can be to find your own collectors. As a gallery, we want to help them connect with the collector, guide them with the process, and ensure they take home as much profit as possible.

Unemployable: The Odyssey of an Artist — September 2022

We are excited to announce Elli Milan’s debut novel, Unemployable: The Odyssey of an Artist, is coming to shelves near you on September 6th, 2022 through Cloud Road Publishing. It will be available in both paperback and Kindle eBook formats on Amazon.com.

Unemployable captures the trials and triumphs behind Two Hearts, One Canvas, the Milan Art Institute, and becoming a modern warrior at the forefront of the 21st Century Art Renaissance. Milan describes her own odyssey as a rebellious, romantic Greek-American artist, weaving stories and images to form a vivid personal history through the lens of her own unique cultural experience. A voyage filled to the brim with Grecian mythos, readers will be inspired as she conquers her Cyclops, dances with Dionysus, and forges on to create her destined Promised Land for artists, all with her family in tow.

Milan Art Experience — August 2022

The Milan Art Experience is our annual art conference and retreat focusing on redefining the artist identity. 16-Year-Old Artist Dimitra Milan Paints Her Wildest Dreams
Interview with My Modern Met
By
Anna Gragert on January 18, 2016
Sixteen-year-old artist Dimitra Milan grew up surrounded by art and has since worked to cultivate her own unique style. Four years ago, she began painting when her parents opened Arizona's Milan Art Institute, allowing her to take any class that caught her attention. From classical oil techniques to contemporary mixed media, Milan's skill set grew along with her desire to paint. The artist then started homeschooling so she could dedicate her free time to improving and exploring her creative passion. It turns out that this was time well-spent because, after finishing high school early, Milan started painting full-time and is now a celebrated professional artist..”
